Born Michelle Steilen, given the alias Estro Jen back in her days as a roller derby skater, she is a pioneering roller skater, entrepreneur, and cultural force.

She co-founded of Moxi Roller Skates by partnering with boot manufacture, Riedell Shoes. She started Moxi Skate Camp & and formally, Lazo. She’s known for blending athleticism, style, and community, inspiring a global movement of skaters —online and in real life—product development, productions and gatherings that celebrate creativity, empowerment, and pure joy on wheels.

Estro is a transplant from Philadelphia, PA. After launching her own skate shop, she co-founded Moxi Roller Skates, a made-in-USA roller skate company made by Riedell and managed by her. Built on joy, self-expression, and community, Moxi stands for bravery, fortitude, confidence and skating as a powerful tool for connection and empowerment.

Misfits Survival Guide

Misfit: A Survival Guide by Sean Mortimer is a self-help book for creative outsiders, published in January 2026, that celebrates imperfection and offers guidance for those who take the path less traveled. In addition to Estro, it features insights from cultural disruptors like Tony Hawk, Mark Mothersbaugh, and Shepard Fairey, with an introduction by Tony Hawk, and serves as a guide for creative individuals to embrace their unique paths.

Estro lives on a classic dude ranch inside of a skatepark. There she trains privately and hosts pros to level up their skills. She hosts private gatherings and meditative retreats.

Spreading the Spirit

Estro is on the Bhakti path and India is her favorite place to travel, study spirituality and visits schools to remind kids we are spirit souls inside material bodies and one way to connect is through roller skating
